The area between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, currently in the middle of the Iraq war, is thought to be, by some, where the Garden of Eden was geographically located.  It is now submerged in conflict, and has been the center of much inhumane behavior extending far into the past as dictators have come and gone.

This song is meant to show the great tragedy that mankind can bestow upon places that at one point in time were havens of sanctity and beauty.  Not just in Iraq, but all over the globe.  Somehow this happens, as the lyrics state, and we suddenly look at the stark desolation where long ago was a thriving group of citizens who woke up each day not having to question their freedom and rights as citizens.

The song is somber, the images brought to us by an excellent photographer and proud soldier named Aaron Ewing are graphic and disturbing, yet show what horrors he saw as he served there.

It is fitting that this image compilation was released just prior to Memorial Day 2009.  One of the Mods' family members who is serving in Iraq asked that we specially dedicate the video to the 2nd Battalion, 130th Field Artillery, Kansas Army National Guard.
We are honored to comply.

Garden Grows

I sometimes realize I’m not dreaming

I often wonder why I’m not

Let’s make believe it’s true

That nothing happens like it had to

It’s time we slipped away, away

This is where the garden used to grow

Back when they called it white as snow

After all of these years I should have seen it

After all it was written in the book

Well maybe this is the time

Wars breaking out and blood’s on everybody’s minds

Oh, oh, oh

This is where the garden used to grow

Back when they called it white as snow

Garden grows

Oh, oh, oh oh

Oh, oh, oh, oh

All is clear

This is where the garden used to grow

Back when they called it white as snow

This is where the garden used to grow

This is where the garden used to grow
